Line - The shortest distance between two points

As I was sitting in my bedroom staring at the wall, pondering over what to do next, something caught my eyes. The pattern the ants follow till their ant hill. They seem to pile up in a straight line. 

Now this really intrigued me and led me to this question - Why can't we have a sketch that is made up of only lines and no curves? Even the eyes are derived from a straight line. How cool does this sound?

Yes, so I started my first line illustration of a human face. Line is a rich metaphor for the artist. It denotes not only boundary, edge or contour, but is an agent for location, energy, and growth. It is literally movement and change - life itself.
